The Buyer Process

The Buyer process begins with an in-depth, detailed interview which typically lasts between 30-60 minutes depending on each individual buyer’s needs and objectives.

Buying Off-Market Properties

squiggle

Did you know the housing market inventory in Connecticut is at its lowest in almost 20 years? If you are considering buying this year, it could be the most difficult time ever to find your dream home, with limited options, rising mortgage rates and competing with other buyers.

Would you prefer to avoid competing with other buyers by looking at homes that are not even listed on the market? If so, we should talk about off-market properties.

Choosing a Community

squiggle
  • Look for neighborhoods that are close to major employers, schools, shopping centers, and transportation options

  • Safety, neighborhoods with low crime rates, good lighting, and easy access to emergency services

  • Parks, open spaces, trails, proximity to shopping, dining and local attractions

  • If the community you're buying in has a homeowners' association, or HOA, find out what amenities are included in your dues, such as a pool, clubhouse or gym

  • A place where houses of worship, education, and recreational activities are accessible for all

  • Demographics - Consider the demographics of the neighborhood you're interested in. Are there more families or young professionals? Is it a diverse community? These factors can affect the desirability of a property and its potential resale or rental value

  • Future Development - Consider any planned or proposed development projects in the area. New development can increase demand and property values, but it can also lead to increased traffic and noise
